We closed the office for the day and all of IPATH came out to support Earth Day and our Turf-n-Surf cleanup! We started out the day at Ralph’s Skate Court in San Clemente, then proceeded to North Beach, then lunch, then some headed down to Bob Burnquist’s backyard jam. In addition to all staff, additional support was provided by Soleo Sunscreen, DBC rideshop, Skateboarder Magazine crew (who came and helped!) and IPATH rider Fred Gall. The entire day was covered by ESPN.com so expect to see the feature soon.

Nilton Neves is featured in the Blackout section of the June 2009 issue of The Skateboard Mag. The photo is of Nilton doing an extra large transfer from the famed Encinitas California’s Shred Ranch for Fuel TV’s Built To Shred TV show.

Join us on Earth Day, April 22nd for our Turf -N- Surf event; a skatepark and beach cleanup in lovely San Clemente California. This is our way of giving back in conjunction with other like-minded brands. See the flyer for details on the IPATH Turf -n- Surf:

The IPATH team is still in Thailand- skated Chiang Mai University today and we’re going to go back tomorrow. Perfect 9 stair hubba and roof gaps.
IPATH style and trick originator Richie Jackson has come up with his top 5 travel destinations for 2009. Check ‘em out:
#1. New York City. After visiting for the first time last year, I fell in love with the place. I think about NYC almost every day at some point.
#2. Paris. This one is on the to-do list. I spend enough time lurking around London anyway, Paris must be done!
#3. Barcelona. It’s well and truly a cliche by now, but this city still has one of the greatest vibes out there, and is the kind of place you want to keep visiting.
#4. Los Angeles. Living in Australia affords me the chance of seeing this place as a novelty, rather than a worn-out torture zone. I always have a good time in LA.
#5. London. Hanging out and partying with everyone at Death Skateboards is a garunteed time-of-your-life.
(Richie is of course always wearing his beloved IPATH Cats… get yours here.
The IPATH skate team is off to Thailand for a story for The Skateboard Mag. The crew consists of Fred Gall, Adam Alfaro, Kenny Reed, Jaws, IPATH TM Dave Smith, filmer Thad and skate photog extraordinaire Matt Price. Here’s a couple low low low res pics of Freddy and Alfaro in their seats on the plane.

Street skating purist Jack Sabback lists his 5 top travel destinations for 2009.

1) New York City
It is what it is.
2) Valparaiso, Chile
Colorful, old port city set on a rocky coastline overlooking the Pacific. SF style skate spots.
3) Cuzco, Peru
Capital of the Incan empire. Shaped like a puma. Set high in the Andes. The city is basically a living, breathing postcard. Take the Incan Trail to Machu Picchu.
4) Buenos Aires, Argentina
Smooth streets, nice architecture, nice woman and it’s pretty cheap to boot.
5) Irkutsk, Russia
A city full of birch log gingerbread houses. Take an ice-cold dip in Lake Baikal and earn yourself 25 years of good luck. Kind of a mission getting there.

Kenny Reed went to Dubai with a crew of Russian skateboarders for an article for skateboarding.ru. As usual, Kenny killed it. Check out the entire story here.
Our own amateur superstar Aaron Jaws Homoki got an interview on Expn.com this weekend. It’s got fabulous pictures, check it out here.
