Bob Burnquist’s Top 5 Travel Destinations

April 27, 2009

Brazil “I just love going back home and giving back by honoring my origins and skateboarding school.”

Bondi Beach, Australia “I just love the combination of a great cement pool for skateboarding and the beach environment. The food is also pretty amazing and you can guarantee yourself a good time.”

Shanghai, China “It’s such a different world out there. And it’s amazing to see skateboarding and where it can reach. I just can’t get over the memories of skating that mammoth of a cement park they have over there. And the streets man… had fun with that too. Perfect spots and no one cares if you skate. They just watch. I think it’s the martial arts connection but they love skateboarding.”

San Francisco,USA “Skating the streets of SF are the most memorable times I’ve had on my skateboard. I learned a lot in that town and it’s always great to go back and cruise around. I finally got to bomb lombard street recently…. sliding like a mad man all the way down.”

Twin Falls, USA “There’s this 500′ Bridge and you can jump off it… there’s also a skatepark down the road. Ahh….

Fred Gall Does The Mega Ramp

April 23, 2009

Our own Fred Gall was shredding the Mega Ramp today. Padless, straight-off-the-plane from Thailand and with a borrowed 80s cruiser from Geoff Rowley, he hit QP coping on his fourth try. Fred Gall is gnarly.

IPATH Turf-n-Surf Earth Day Cleanup A Success!

April 22, 2009

We closed the office for the day and all of IPATH came out to support Earth Day and our Turf-n-Surf cleanup! We started out the day at Ralph’s Skate Court in San Clemente, then proceeded to North Beach, then lunch, then some headed down to Bob Burnquist’s backyard jam. In addition to all staff, additional support was provided by Soleo Sunscreen, DBC rideshop, Skateboarder Magazine crew (who came and helped!) and IPATH rider Fred Gall. The entire day was covered by ESPN.com so expect to see the feature soon.
